Temporarily retired, John has time on his hands but has not spent it practicing as most would expect, unless you consider constant kid chauffeuring in the electric runaround as arcade practice. Having said that, inspired by the Littler-effect, John got a dartboard for his birthday and has been stepping to the oche in his dank garage for several weeks. Losing his winning darts streak last year – to Taylor of all people – cut deep and if he wins just this event he'll probably sleep soundly on Saturday.
