John – Summer 2025

Victory is likely to elude John this tournament and so his sporting highlight of the year may come the day after Superstars, when he competes in a six mile jog around St Albans that conveniently features a pub stop every mile. Fit (ish) John has physically recovered from the hamstring tweak sustained in the spring, but mentally he bears the scars of a chronic injury sustained whilst walking. Success for this old, grey man (as his daughter's refer to him) will likely mean just being able to still walk on Monday.
